If it's not carbon, why do people use carbon wrap?

I say get the tail painted white.

Bought it like that for cheap. Surprisingly looks very nice. It’s not that ugly printed carbon.

On a gen 1 in NW Florida? For shame! If I lived that area I’d be touring springs all summer. Have my snorkel gear strapped to the seat and everything.

Also, if you’re going to go to the trouble of painting, I’d get a fz1-n rear fairing first. The one without grab handles. You’ve already got the cowl, so no grab handles and rear peg delete would look pretty snazzy.

I don’t snorkel, but I have been known to go to the weekly beach volleyball game on the bike In the summer, traffic to the beach can be heavy, so getting there and parking is much easier on the bike. The gearing up and down part in the summer is not nearly as much fun...

2-3 times a year I got on a longer ride with friends. There are some nice small country roads, not like California but really nice for the area, and no cops (not that it matters, I never exceed speed limits... ;) We have a set of roads that go along the Florida-Alabama border and criss cross it that are nice, so we can make a 3-4 hours interesting ride easily.
The best part is that they start about 30 miles from home and the ride there is an easy slab. Also roads tend to be in very good condition due to the lack of freezing.
Definitely a great area for year round riding.

Nah I think the N is ugly, I personally like the grab handles. As does the lady, well those and my love handles.

Paint the tail white. I think the fake carbon thing has run its course.

White tail would look dope.

Fwiw- smaller rank grips (like tech specs) would also do wonders for bringing out some white in the middle and balancing it front to rear.

I would leave it, not because of aesthetics, but because I am too lazy to mess with it. Plus with the black chin spoiler, I do think it looks rather cool as is.
