Went Dirt Bike Racing In Utah!

Snagged 2nd place in the 55+ B class at the Sage Rider's Enduro race at Chimney Rock in Utah. I finally have a trophy from the current decade My other ones are from the mid 90s.

My bike is a '13 Husaberg TE300. It has Husqvarna shrouds on it, which confuses everybody. I call it a "Huskyberg". In the end, it is basically a KTM 300 XC-W. Regardless of the graphics, it is an awesome scalpel of a bike, so grunty fast and light and perfect for that gnarly 75 mile long course that rewarded a nimble bike with easy to manage power.

I pitied the dudes riding 4 stroke 450s. They were suffering badly - it is possible to be slowed down by a bike with too much power. Bike 409 in the background is a KTM 450 and it belongs to a friend of mine that also raced. He got beaten senseless. Was back at the truck eating cold pizza and drinking beers, (which amounted to fine dining at that point) for quite awhile before he finally came in, completely fried from riding that raging beast. I have a 450 also, but reserve that thing for trail riding, riding wheelies, just enjoying playing around pulling the trigger on a bike with stupid power. If really trying to go fast for a long time and going to work in a racing situation, the 300 is the one

Here are a few pics. What a fun trip

With experience of a tortured youth, we turn up the music and go in search of the truth.
