Paris Dakar! Boy that brings back memories. Peugeot had a fair number of winning entries in days gone by. (A rare victory for the French!)

Sad to see it moved due to terrorist threats, but what the hell, I like South America a whole lot more than Africa.

Fitty has thread control.
Motorsports coverage is hard to come by in the DTV guide, USA fans are not verbal enough...contact the provider if you like this programming.

Thanks again, Fitty! I always enjoy the rally, if nothing else, just for the amazing scenery. Although the racing action is pretty tasty, too!

Anyone who finishes the rally is a real stud!

I'm also following Lyndon Poskitt, a semi-privateer on a KTM. You can find him on Facebook. He once did the Baja 1000 with another guy on a KTM 950 Super Enduro, when everyone else was on 450s.

killer stuff.

Sad to see the one guy on a quad broke his wrist in the first stage.

US entry list is sad. Go Brabec. At least I don't have to listen to Robby Gordon whine about why he won't do well this year.

Well crap. Toby Price is out with a broken femur. Lyndon is still doing well in the one man, one bike, one box class that is the Malle Moto.

If you're watching the Dakar coverage and you're on Facebook, you should check out Lyndon Poskitt's feed. He posts a lot of videos, and every time you see him he's smiling, cheering, and taking selfies with locals. This during what has been a miserable Dakar so far. A lot of his video is making it into the regular TV coverage, plus he's getting in front of their cameras as well. Not bad for a privateer in the Malle Moto class. He's currently second in MM. A joy to watch him. I hope he keeps this up.

I'm still watching.

All the videos so far are linked up on this page. Scroll down a ways to see the video links.
