The thing about pets...........they dont judge what you've done in your life. As long as you haven't abused them......

I know a few folks who were at the end of their road and were saved simply by having a pet that relied on them. I've thought that exact same thing you said many a time.

Our cat, the one we got last December from the shelter, he had HORRIBLE interview skills. Hid under the bench, had to be dragged out, picked up, didn't like it, me crying and begging, Mike crying and giving in, there is not a day that goes by that he doesn't let us know how much he loves his new life.

All through a lousy last year of working long days and six days a week most of the time, coming home to him got me through some really down times. It was impossible to bring it all home when he was waiting at the door.

Cheers my friend!

My dog's practically my alarm clock! Usually 6:30 am, plus or minus a minute, on the bed, nose under arm, come on dad! Time to eat.

Had a coyote walk thru the yard at 2:30 p.m. yesterday. Seems strange for one to be hunting in broad daylight.

I was changing the oil in one of the vehicles a few years ago, and while I was underneath I caught some movement out of the corner of my eye. Turned to see a coyote standing in the driveway staring at me from about 15 feet away. Kind of unnerving. I moved to crawl out from underneath and he took off. Only seen one other around here since.

Tom and I met up last night for dinner at Bighams Tavern. Had a great time catching up. He'll be along to post up a pic or so to prove that I am indeed still alive and ornery as ever. Life has gotten in the way of "fun things" lately. I could drone on but, I wont say anything other than I have great support from y'all and a fella I met at the VA. He is 92 years old. Enlisted in the Army Air Corp at the age of 16 and flew in bombers during WW2.
Uhhh yeah, he's seen some stuff. I was taught to respect and listen to my elders. It has been an honor to talk with the guy. He is in a wheelchair but very alert and still sharp as a razor. The nurses all know to watch out for him as he has a habit of grabbin ass. They've told me to NOT pick up his habits............................

He just smirks and say's, "Sure he won't"

Thank you guy's for thinking of me. Wish you the best over the Holidays.
