This version of vbulletin likely uses the host system time. The host system time should be using NTP.

I was about the post about the clock being off, but apparently Y'all know about it already.

How do we fix the clock issue ? A simple programming adjustment for the right person would yield them a case of fine beer and the gratitude of many.

Thank you but as Desmo notes it's off already. If I knew anything about Linux I'd figure out how to set a chron job to check some time web site and reset itself periodically but I don't. I'll see if lunarpages will do it since we're paying for maintenance.

My own business server had a fit of time changes a month ago, had to keep re-setting it? Not sure where our tech had it getting time stamps from but is was confusing for a while... M$...

I have to adjust my time zone to GMT+5 to display the correct time when it should be GMT-8.

Even when I allow for that, the time is halfway around the world.

I need to set the board clock to GMT+5 to make it read my current time. Within 11 minutes....

I was only pointing out the correct PDT offset so that those times when the board's host clock is correct you would see the correct time.

Those times are rare

This thing is not even right twice a day.

How can it be so difficult? Nuclear server is running at a different quantum level, or something like that?

The absence of a fixed preferred universal reference frame makes timekeeping difficult as all time is relative. Having just passed through a spacetime anomaly the board clock has now been able to be reset to a setting approximated by Einstein's field equations.
