motorcycle gps

Ive been using this for a little while now, i grew tired of my iphone cameras taking a shit with my bar mount, but still wanted a visual gps. It runs off its own app and works surprisingly well.

Lots of video reviews on youtube, that can tell you more than i.

I didnt spring for the metal one, just the plastic one and it came from amazon prime.

the app you can also download and use if if you do mount your phone to the bars, with no need for the actual beeline device.

That is a pretty cool device if you haven't got space for a regular GPS.

The vibration from the bar mount is killing the camera? I’ve been looking pretty hard at phone bar mounts for navigation purposes.

Really only a known concern with the latest hi-tech iPhones. I haven't seen any complaints with Android-based phones, yet. Here's a really in-depth thread about a great phone choice for navigation:

https://advrider.com/f/threads/ultra...guide.1206076/

It's built up to a long thread, but it's like the Holy Grail of info on this model and loaded with great info.

I made the jump from Garmin to the Kyocera Duraforce Pro a couple years ago. Bought a mint-condition (AT&T) phone off of Swappa for a whole $80! The thing is a freakin' tank of a phone and will repel hell. I run GuruPro for following tracks that I don't want "recalculation masturbation" and TomTom GO for "get me from A to B". Couldn't be happier - been working great.

I've used a $100 Garmin for years, with a fleabay semi-waterproof bar mount. Thousands of miles in pouring rain, sub-freezing temps, and 100 degree summer sunshine. Basically, it works just fine. On longer rides it somehow gives comfort, especially at night, giving time, route info, speed limit info, etc. A nice extra glow at night on longer trips.

That said, I like that Kyocera possibility and will take a look. I don't wear readers while riding, so the 6" Garmin is kinda nice. Hopefully the phone screen is large and easy to see. Either that or I'll need a magnifier over the screen.....
